The bill (Reg. No. 3312) was elaborated in order to fulfill recommendations of experts of the European Commission regarding refinement of provisions of anticorruption legislation, provided within the framework of negotiations on liberalization of the visa regime with the European Union.
In particular, it is suggested amend the code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements, the Criminal Code, the Civil Procedure Code and the laws “On Citizens’ Appeals”, “On Banks and Banking”, and “On Principles of Prevention and Counteraction of Corruption”.
It was noted that the Central Scientific Experts Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat expressed several remarks to the bill and suggested recommit the bill, following the results of its consideration in the first reading. However, Committee members believe that the abovementioned remarks do not pertain to contradictions to the provisions of the Constitution of Ukraine.
